Marc started diving in 1991, he had his first diving lesson when he was 6 years old. He was encouraged to take up diving by his mother's goddaughter Alison Roffey, ex-Leeds and Great Britain Senior/Junior International diver. Marc says: "Alison inspired me how people could do mulitple twists and somersaults".
At 8 years old Marc competed in his first Novice National competition. His coach believed in his talent and entered him into National events.
Marc received his first international medal when he was 12 years old winning 3 golds in 1m, 3m and platform event at
Marc has visited many places competing as part of the Great Britain Team, for City of Leeds Diving Club, for his previous club Bradford Esprit, and for Yorkshire ASA. He has competed in GB Championships, European Championships and Six Nations events. He has won approx 100 medals (including international medals) and 30 trophies.
Marc's ambition is to compete at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China as part of the England team and to become the next Leon Taylor (another of Marc's diving inspirations).
Marc says: "I find diving fascinating, the way people can do multiple twists and somersaults and enter the water at high speeds without making a splash".
