Sally Freeman
Date of Birth: 20 February 1974
Sally became a member of the City of Leeds Diving Club when she came to Leeds to pursue her diving career, she had previously trained with Plymouth Diving and still has very close links with them.
When diving in Leeds Sally was coached by Adrian Hinchliffe, Senior Coach at City of Leeds Diving Club and her main board was the 10metre Platform. Sally's favourite dive ws a Back two and a half somersaults in the piked position (205B).
The pinnacle of achievement for Sally was to qualify for the Olympic Games 2000 and to travel to Sydney, Australia and compete for her country.
Sally passed on a wealth of knowledge, experience and encouragement when she coached young divers in the City of Leeds Diving Development Programme, Sally went on to continue her coaching career with Bradford City Council and Bradford Esprit Diving Club, moved to Southampton with her partner Fito and their daughter Lucy and is now based in Plymouth with her family and coaching at Plymouth Diving. Sally is now a Fina International judge and travels to competitions around the world to judge.
