The White Rose
Novice Diving Invitational
13th/14th October 2007
In conjuntion with Leeds City Council the City of Leeds Diving Club is proud to invite you to the tenth White Rose Novice Diving Invitational.
The divers will perform 12 skills. These skills will be divided into 3 stations of 4 skills and assessed with 3 judges at each. The competitors will be divided across the 3 stations and rotated once each station has finished. Once the final result has been calculated the top 6 divers will progress to the final where 3 designated skills will be repeated.
After our successful trial of this event last year, this format will now be seen at the ASA National Skills Finals 2007 in Plymouth.
This ‘gymnastic style’ competition format should create a very exciting environment for our up and coming stars to demonstrate their talent. We are updating our scoring system to cater for this new style competition and would urge you to come and get involved with what will be a ‘new age in novice diving competitions’
Awards will be given to the top 6 finalists, Top Coach and the Top Team will receive the White Rose trophy.
As usual, look out for the extra entertainment whilst here in Leeds. There will be a short diving show before each final session which will feature some of the top divers in the country including Commonwealth Games Team Members from Leeds - Tandi Gerrard, Rebecca Gallantree & Callum Johnstone. There will also be a White Rose Party for all to attend. Please come along, its always great fun for everyone and a great way to meet new diving friends!!!!
On behalf of the organising team, the City of Leeds Diving Club and Leeds City Council, we look forward to welcoming you to what will be one of the most exciting novice competitions ever!
Yours in Diving
Adrian Hinchliffe & Edwin Jongejans
