White Rose
Novice Event Records
2007
saw another first for City of Leeds Diving Club when we held our 11th White Rose
event at the new Aquatic Centre, John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds.
Lots of great diving in a brand new pool!
In
2005 the White
Rose trialled a new novice circuit style event. Group E, D
and C divers completed 12 diving skills rotating around 3 stations: Poolside, 1
metre and 3 metre. The event ran very successfully using an updated DiveRecorder scoring
system and wireless
J-Pads. If we had run the event with each diver diving
a competition as normal we would have had over 13 hours of prelim diving, with
the circuit style event this was cut to less than 5 hours of diving and made for
a very relaxed and
fun event. As this was a new format all the 2005 results were new event
records. The 2006 White Rose event saw some of these records broken -
although the dives in 2006 were slightly different we have updated these event
records.
